Progressive care in Bristol for ages 2 to 5.

We use progressive educational best practices, and we value the uniqueness each child brings. Our teachers support children's intellectual, social, and emotional development in a fun, warm, and safe environment. Children learn through an indoor/outdoor play-based approach that helps them grow into capable and resourceful people.

Inside, rooms are set up for play — low shelves children can reach, open floor space, and materials they choose themselves. Meals come daily, with plenty of fruits and vegetables; we do not use sweets as rewards. Play moves inside and outside through the day, with teachers nearby to guide and join in.

A visitor might notice teachers sitting at children's eye level, talking through what a child is doing. Or children carrying their own cups to the table, practiced at it. Our teachers value education and socialization through interaction, and we promise each child the attention and care they deserve.

Mornings start with a parent handing a child to a teacher at the door. Coats come off, bags go on hooks, and children move into the room. Some children walk straight to a table of toys. Others need a few minutes beside a teacher before they join in.

The middle of the day mixes play and small-group learning. Children build, paint, sort, and listen to stories. Meals are served daily, with fruits and veggies on the plate, and sweets are not used as rewards. There is rest time, outdoor time, and time to run and climb before the day winds down.

Afternoon is calmer — quieter play, books, puzzles, a snack. Teachers help children gather their things as pickup begins. When you arrive, a teacher tells you one real thing from your child's day: something they built, tried, or said.
